voice recording

the left ear output of speaker is also the mic input for voice recording. just plug in the earpiece and use the left earpiece as mic.

the input gain and encoding quality can be adjusted to obtain optimized wav file.

new update of KDE-PIM/Pi

a new package: KDE-PIM/Pi was released.  it includes:

• KO-Pi - Organizer
• KA-Pi - Address Book
• KM-Pi - OpieMail (some GPL issues, suspended)

KO-Pi is the enhanced version (1.9.3a) of previous.  KA-Pi can import and export from csv but no direct sync with dtm or Outlook.  at the moment KA-Pi is not so useful for me as my primary address book is MS Outlook.

previous version of KO-Pi (1.7.7) may use up all the internal memory and so I decided to deactivate the "fastload".  I have resumed the fastload option for this 1.9.3a and see if any memory problem observed.
